Allah Rakkha Rahman (born January 6, 1966 as A. S. Dileep Kumar in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India), mainly known by his first two initials and last name A. R. Rahman, is a three–time Academy Award nominated, four–time National Film Award and Golden Globe winning, Indian film composer, record producer and musician. His work has garnered considerable acclaim and a large global fanbase since his film scoring career began in the early 1990s.
